It seems that Hollywood can't get enough of the hunky warlord from HBO's "Game of Thrones" because besides his role as Aquaman in the upcoming DC films including next year's "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice," Hawaiian-born actor Jason Momoa is being eyed for another big production: this time, for a "Magnificent Seven" remake.

According to Variety, the star-studded cast includes Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, and Ethan Hawke as well as Vincent D'Onofrio, Hayley Bennett, and Luke Grimes, with Antoine Fuqua at the helm. MGM will oversee the production, while Sony will distribute the film.

Nic Pizzolatto reportedly wrote the first draft of the script before John Lee Hancock took over. Variety noted that the original film is about a group of gunslingers who are protecting a town from bandits.

Momoa will be part of the main cast, although there's been no word as to his specific role. The main villain, which the Hollywood Reporter noted, is a robber baron, has not been cast yet. More news should circulate soon, as the production team is assembling the remaining members.

The original film by John Sturges was itself a remake of "Seven Samurai" by Akira Kurosawa. Along with Momoa is Byung-hun Lee (GI Joe: Retaliation) as Billy Rocks.

Momoa is currently starring on Sundance Channel's "The Red Road" and will be playing Aquaman in next year's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."

Outside Hollywood, Huffington Post has noted that Momoa is leading a revolt against the installation of a 30-meter telescope on his homeland. The news source said that the telescope, which is set to be one of the world's largest and most powerful, but will be installed on a site considered sacred by Hawaiian natives, atop the Mauna Kea volcano.

Momoa has led a movement and is supporting a Change.org petition to "immediately halt all TMT-related construction" and "stop all arrests" of those who are standing to protect the said site. So far, Huffington Post has noted that at least 31 of the hundreds of people at the protest has been arrested.

He also went to Instagram to get the attention of his fans. After all, when a war lord speaks, everyone should listen, and Momoa is channeling his inner Khal Drogo for a cause.

On the other hand, Byung-hun Lee will be see on Alan Talor's "Terminator: Genisys:" which will be opening in theaters on July 1.
