Samsung's Galaxy Grand 3 has long been the subject of rumor mills, but a teaser from Samsung India appears to indicate that things could come official soon.

According to ChinaTopix, the teaser reads "The Grandest Ever, Coming Soon." Citing information from Pusat News, the outlet took note of a device carrying a SM-G7200 code name. The handset is believed to be the Galaxy Grand 3.

Phone Arena describes, "The device certainly looks like the Grand 3, from the power button on the side, to the front facing camera and the speaker grille."

If reports are to be believed, the device succeeds the Galaxy Grand 2, Samsung's popular mid-range device which sold "very well," Ordoh noted. Citing the purported code name, the outlet recalls previous Grand series models, which had been attached the SM-G7 alpha-numeric codes.

As told by Ordoh, the single-SIM Grand 2 was numbered SM-G7100; the dual-SIM model was numbered SM-G7102 and the LTE variant was numbered SM-G7105. That being said, SM-G7200 looks to be a Grand 3 iteration.

In terms of specs, the Galaxy Grand 3 is rumored to pack a 5.25-inch 720p display, ChinaTopix noted, including a 64-bit 1.2GHz Qualcomm 410 quad-core processor, 1.5 GB of RAM and 16 GB storage. It is said to be supported by micro SD (up to 128 GB) and Android KitKat, which can later be upgraded to Lollipop.

The Galaxy Grand 3 is previously speculated to have a 5.5-inch screen, KDramaStars said, but eventually turned out to be false as indicated by a leaked document. As told by the outlet, the handset specifically showcases a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.

Weighing 140 grams, the device is touted to measure 146 × 74.8 × 7.95 mm.

In terms of camera, the handset is believed to capture at 15 MP on the rear, while its selfie snapper is expected at 5 MP, KDramaStars cited. Ordoh, on the other hand, notes a 13 MP main camera.

In November, however, NDTV took note of slightly different alleged specs, which include a 12 MP autofocus rear camera and a 4.7 MP front-facing snapper. Nevertheless, the alleged Grand 3 appears to upgrade its predecessor's shooters, which come at 8 MP and 1.9 MP, respectively.

Camera features listed in GSMArena's specs sheet include autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, HDR and panorama. As noted by the outlet, the device is expected to arrive in black and white color options. As of press time, GSMArena puts the Galaxy Grand 3 in a "rumored" status.

ChinaTopix is convinced that Samsung could announce the Galaxy Grand 3 in Q3 2015, which puts July as our earliest bet.
