Ciara's name made rounds on social media after she was seen with NFL quarterback Russell Wilson whom she is reportedly dating. Netizens then shifted their attention on Ciara's ex and poked fun at him on Instagram.

During the White House State Dinner on Tuesday, Seattle Seahawks' Wilson was seen alongside the singer during the photo opportunities. Essence said fans loved the cute combination of the two and even called Wilson an upgrade to Ciara's ex, rapper Future. The two, who are reported to be dating already, were also spotted earlier this month at the singer's "I Can Do That" series wrap party, as per InTouch Weekly.

An E! Online source said that Ciara and Wilson are just a new couple. "It's still at the beginning stages and it's very fresh. She thinks he is a complete gentleman and has really enjoyed hanging out with him these past few weeks. It's constant laughter and fun with them," the source added.

The same report added that the schedule of the two may not meet in the coming weeks as they will be busy with their respective careers, but, the E! Online source said "they are willing to make time and see where this may go."

During her recent interview with Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club, E! Online thought that Ciara was not thinking about dating as she maintained that the "greatest joy" in her life is Future Jr., her son with her rapper ex.

"You live and you learn. My son has given me so much clarity. Now I'm like a full-on woman. You don't really understand what that means until a few things happen to you in life, but my son has totally given me so much clarity and I couldn't be more clear than I've needed to be," she was quoted by E!Online as saying.

Meanwhile, InTouch Weekly said Russel filed for divorce from his wife Ashton Meem in April 2014 while Ciara broke off her engagement with Future last August 2014. Rumors say Future cheated on Ciara while he was on tour.

Past haunting Future?

Essence said that some Instagram users are spamming Future's posts "by posting football Emojis in the comments beneath (like, every single one) of his photos in [sic] Instagram."

Ciara's fans must be really happy to see her enjoying the company of her rumored newfound love.

Aside from a blossoming love life, the singer has just released her new single "Dance Like We're Making Love" last Tuesday.
