Mariah Carey has responded to those critics saying her singing skills are in a low point.

In a recent press conference for her artist residency in Las Vegas, the 45-year-old hitmaker said that she is ready to prove that she's still got the vocal range she is famous for.

"As far as vocals, are there going to be any kind of backup tracks?" an Associated Press reporter asked Carey, as quoted by Fox News Latino. "And there was some speculation here in Vegas that's just required because there's so much going on onstage."

Displaying a professional manner, the singer replied, "I mean, I have so many overlapping parts and background vocalists and background things. There's always some confusion and something about it, but I mean, like, if there's any confusion they're welcome to come to my house and sing in the shower with me. It's not a problem."

Carey received harsh criticism for her performances leading to the Las Vegas residency, with the most notable being her leaked isolated "All I Want for Christmas" vocals for the Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony last year, Fox News wrote. The recording featured the singer struggling to hit the high notes she's most recognized for.

Another vocal mishap occurred during Carey's October 2014 performance in Tokyo, Japan as part of her Elusive Chanteuse World Tour, TMZ noted. The concert also saw the artist unable to reach the high notes of a track.

Carey's 18-show stint at Las Vegas will take place from May 6 until July 26 at Caesars Palace's Colosseum, Music Times reported. The show, named "Mariah Carey #1 to Infinity," will showcase some of Carey's well-known hits such as "Vision of Love," "Dreamlover," "Emotions," "One Sweet Day," "Don't Forget About Us," and "Fantasy."

"The rehearsals have been going really well," Carey said of the residency in Las Vegas, E! News reported exclusively. "It's been mainly for me about the music and about how to incorporate the songs. Just because they were all number one records doesn't mean they all make an easy set list...a lot of ballads and up tempos. So it's difficult to make it work seamlessly."

Despite rumors of a messy separation, Carey's ex-husband, Nick Cannon, still showed support for the singer's series of appearances in Las Vegas. In a post on Instagram, Cannon wrote: "#1ToInfinity album in stores May 6th. #TheQueen #NoHate #HardestWorkingWomanIKnow."

When asked by E! News how she and Cannon plan to take care of their twins Monroe and Morrocan while the singer is busy on her singing engagements, Carey shared, "They're always with me. They're with me or they're with their father. It is what it is and I would never just be like, 'I'm going, you're not going to be with me.' They wouldn't understand that."
