The residential areas around Los Angeles are teeming with the rich-and-famous homeowners. The city has some of the ultra-exclusive and priciest zip codes in the country with neighborhoods such as the Holmby Hills, Beverly Hills, Malibu and Bel-Air.
So, it's no wonder that LA's real estate market abound with luxurious homes up for grabs. Let's check out some of them with this list.
Max Azria's Dapper LA Mansion
If you are a home for one of those fashion moguls, you have to be just as "well-dressed." And with a price tag of $85 million, this 30,000-square-foot mansion won't have much problem.
The 1939 home designed by architect Paul Williams, nicknamed as the Maison du Solei, will have its floor-to-ceiling waterfall chandelier, consisting of 150,000 crystals, greet guests upon entry to its foyer.
According to the Daily Mail, this Holmby Hills property has 17 bedrooms, a guesthouse, and 60 other rooms. Some of the main features of the house include a 6,000-square-foot theater room equipped with a snack bar, a kitchen with walk-in refrigerator, a glass-enclosed tennis court, a Moroccan-themed bathhouse with sauna and spa, and a zero-edged swimming pool.
The current owner Max Azria of the BCBG Max Azria group acquired the home from renowned novelist Sidney Sheldon for $14.4million in 2005.
The Malibu Home with Celebrity Status
This 7,000-square-foot property, perched on the celebrity-infested Malibu Hills, is no stranger in front of the cameras. It has been the gracious host for numerous movies ("Face Off" and "Gone in 60 Seconds"),TV shows ("Beverly Hills 90210"), and music videos (Britney Spears') according to Bloomberg Business.
"On approximately 16 acres, this steel and glass estate is surrounded by manicured lawns and sycamore trees with endless mountain views of Boney Ridge," says its Zillow listing. The property has 4 beds and 5 baths which include a huge master suite featuring an en-suite bath, large closets, and oversized glass windows. The home is on sale for $8.695 million.

This 28,000-square-foot mansion is owned by another businessman from the fashion industry.
JH Design CEO Albert Elkouby now lists his 1.5 acre estate which sits along N. Alpine Drive for a whopping $72 million, the Forbes Life notes.
"It's an entertainer's paradise," described Joyce Rey of Coldwell Banker Previews International, who shared the listing together with Jade Mills. It has 11 beds including three from a separate guesthouse. The home has a maid's area and a guardhouse. Other home details include a wine cellar, multiple wet bars, chef's kitchen highlighted by two islands.
The lower portion of the mansion is designed to entertain guests with its game room, movie room, a fitness area with a pool and spa. The property is ready to park up to 66 cars. It also has a ballroom, and a lounge area with a cocktail bar.
Bel-Air's Midcentury Modern Home
This 1959-built home, designed by Edward H. Fickett, is listed on the market for $2.495 million. It has four beds and three baths spread across 2,650 square feet of living space. The property, located along the famous Mulholland Drive, has .37 acres of lot.
The interior of the structure is highlighted by open-space floor plan, floor-to ceiling glass, and clerestory windows, according to the LA Times.
It also features a living room with fireplace, an office space, master suite with steam shower, and an expansive lawn.
The Bird Streets' Modern Stunner
This home was just recently built last year and went on sale for $38 million. This gorgeous-looking modern-designed mansion is situated within the coveted neighborhood where streets are named after birds. Neighbors to the home include Hollywood A-listers Leonardo DiCaprio and Keanu Reeves, says Bloomberg.
The five-bed, 8.5-bath home, sitting on a .47-acre of premiere lot, boasts of its close proximity to Rodeo Drive, Soho House and the Sunset Strip, according to its listing. It has sweeping views of downtown LA and the ocean.
