The finale of "The Walking Dead" season 5 left fans shell-shocked about the things that went down in the Alexandria Safe Zone, and according to Christian Today, Morgan's return and the arrival of the Wolves --- a sadistic group of survivors who could be the main antagonists for next season, are the scenarios that fans should watch out for.
Fans would have to wait a long time, but that doesn't mean that there's a lack of spoilers and possible twists in season 6. Check some of them out:
1) The deaths of two fan favorite characters have been going on for quite some time but the writers are also known to divert from the original storyline, which means that there is a possibility Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) could live, according to Christian Today. Fingers crossed, anyone?
2) There could be a possible romance between Jessie Anderson (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) but it's still a bit complicated, Wet Paint said. However, producer Greg Nicotero spoke of the possibility in an interview with Melty. He said, "I don't think it would be out of the question for something to spark between Rick and Jessie, because it already did; in [Season 5] Episode 15 when he goes to her house and says, 'Just say yes. If you need help, just say it.' And she says 'yes.' So I do believe Jessie was torn between her marriage to Pete and her attraction to Rick. But there are also a lot of other things that you have to think about, which is now, basically, Rick murdered the father of her children. So I can't imagine that that's gonna be something that she's going to be able to get over easily."
3) Finally, more zombies could be in season 6. Showrunner Scott Gimple revealed via Den of Geek, "for a good while now, humans have been the bigger threat. At the start of our next season, that will change. I said the show reinvents itself every 8 eps, and we're doing it again, friendos. Now that these characters know they have what it takes to survive, what are they going to do with that power? How will they choose to live? Beyond answering those questions, we're currently putting into motion some of our most ambitious stuff yet, and things are going to get very big, loud, and scary."
4) Two new characters could be making appearances: Delvin and Tucker. Delvin is believed to be the replacement for Daryl, Christian Today noted, while Tucker is said to be the one who values hard work and fairness, according to E! News. Fans have no idea what they would bring to the show, though, as these characters did not appear in the Comics and are thought to be the "detours" as Nicotero told Melty.
5) Comic Book noted that there is a possibility that TWD may have a movie in the works, as a deal between Universal Pictures and Robert Kirkman's Skybound Entertainment has had fans excited. In an interview with Inquirer, Lincoln said, "It's something we've been talking about and dreamt of because it would be cool to see some snow. We were all going, just not to have to film in Atlanta where it gets to 100 degrees. What would be amazing is that you can play with form, time and chronology and maybe also rediscover characters who are no longer in the show. Certainly, with that format, you can do something very interesting and ambitious."
What do you think about these twists and potential full-length film?
