Months before the expected release of "WWE 2K16," a tweet, claiming that the upcoming game installment will have the biggest roster compared to other releases in the previous years, circulated online.
However, WWE 2K16's community manager Marcus Stephenson denied the rumor.
@DONATTOKYLE That's just a rumor. There was no tweet.

Despite the denial from the 2K team about the biggest roster, VC Post said that it can still offer a grand lineup of players since some have already confirmed their appearance on the game including Sasha Banks, Rosa Mendez and Jim Ross.
With the recent rumor, people have become more excited on what the game will offer in terms of features and innovation.
Expected to be released in October on PS4, Xbox One and PC, "WWE 2K16" is already gaining so much attention online because of the changes believed to come with the upcoming release.
A similar China Topix report said that most players looking forward to the upcoming game were not satisfied with the current roster of "WWE 2K15." It explained that this year's installment only has 83 wrestlers while 2K14 had 103 wrestlers and 2K13 had 106.
The same report added that aside from the additional players mentioned above, the upcoming release will also have Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, Bubba Ray Dudley, Paige (AJ Lee's tag team partner) and Seth Rollins.
China Topix also noted that there is an expected revamp on the wrestlers featured in "WWE 2K15."
"The game will most likely remove known playable characters such AJ Lee and CM Punk. The upcoming WWE 2K16 will be made available for the next-gen console. It might possibly introduce a PC version since 2K Sports' Bryce Yang said the developer wants its games to be playable in other platforms," the report added.
Aside from the changes in the roster, WhatCulture said gamers want an ECW mode.
"None of the Vince McMahon reboot rubbish. This would prove to be as much of a learning experience for the younger generations of the WWE Universe as it would be a trip down memory lane for everyone of a certain vintage," added WhatCulture.
ECW is extremely relevant since there was no ECW back in the days, according to WhatCulture. "WWE owes it to the fans to give them an ECW mode to be proud of," the report added.
These are just some of the expectations for the game installment but players are certainly looking for more since "WWE 2K15" seemed to have not delivered what was expected from it.
