There are already plenty of speculations for the Sony Xperia Z5 and with a leaked image from GSM Dome, it seems that there is at least some confirmation about how it's going to look.

As seen in the leaked image, the backside of the Xperia Z5 is flat, with the camera at the top left corner. Speculations suggest that the model won't have the Optical Image Stabilisation feature.

Other details about the Xperia Z5 remain mysterious but as International Business Times noted, the model could come with a USB Type C connectivity port, and is slated for release by the fourth quarter of the year.

According to Phone Arena, the Z5 is expected to feature a Quad HD Screen with an 820 Snapdragon chipset if Qualcomm manages to roll it out by then. It is also said to have a 4GB RAM and an enhanced camera with a Sense ID fingerprint scanner.

Reports from Xperiaz5 listed the key specifictions of the new Z5 which include a 5.5 inch screen with a 4k resolution. It could also sport a 30MP camera with G+ sensors, its front camera a cool 10MP with face detection, storage of 128GB and a 4500mAH battery.

The site claimed that Sony is working on reducing the mobile's charging time from 2 hours to a mere 30 minutes.

While we're still waiting for details about the Z5, the Xperia Z4 is by no means a weak phone. The recently released model, according to IBT, also boasts great features, including a 5.1MP front camera, and a slim 6.9mm design.

If you plan on waiting for the Z5, though, it will come at a price. Xperiaz5 estimated that it will cost around $1100. This is a pretty hefty price, and despite Sony's long-standing rule about releasing new models twice a year, Phone Arena wrote that the company fails to satisfy consumer needs, considering that the Z4 is a lot like Z3, which in turn is very similar to the Z2, and Z2 is yes, similar to Z1.

Of course, most phones have the same problem --- Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) releases slightly enhanced phones every year with an even more expensive price tag, after all.

The Sony Xperia Z5 is expected to be out in October.

What do you think about the specs and features of the Xperia Z5? Do you agree that Sony needs to bump up their upgrades, or do you think it's a trend in gadgets?
