Netflix and Marvel have confirmed that "Daredevil" will definitely be back with a new season next year. However, the upcoming season will be having a different showrunner.

"While previous commitments unfortunately prevent me from continuing on with Daredevil into its second season, I could not be happier that Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez are carrying the torch. They were invaluable collaborators during our first season, and I for one can't wait to see what they do with the show moving forward," stated Steven S. DeKnight, as quoted in the official website.

He also posted several tweets, explaining his decision.

Unfortunately I won't be returning to #Daredevil due to a previous commitment in the feature world. More to come on that in the future.

The Man Without Fear will continue to save his city as a lawyer by day and a superhero by night, fighting against injustice, as another pair of successful and experienced producers are going to hold the fort next season, along with Jeph Loeb, IGN explained. Doug Petrie ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "American Horror Story") and Marco Ramirez ("Sons of Anarchy") have worked together with DeKnight and Drew Goddard during the first season. 

According to Entertainment Weekly, there is a plan to team up all Netflix heroes after all the four shows debut. The four Netflix heroes shows include "A.K.A. Jessica Jones," "Luke Cage," "Iron Fist" and last but not the least, "Daredevil." The team will then join forces for "The Defenders."

Forbes said all of these shows will have 13-episode seasons each and The Defenders will have an 8-episode season, wrapping the whole of "Defenders Saga" in 60 episodes.

Marvel's Daredevil (Matt Murdock) stars Charlie Cox and it revolves around the story of a man missing his sense of sight when he was still young. With extraordinary senses, he fights against inequity. The plot is situated in modern day Hell's Kitchen, New York City. Deborah Ann Woll also stars as Karen Page together with Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple, Bob Gunton as Leland Owlsley (aka The Owl), Vondie Curtis-Hall as Ben Urich, Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk, Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, and Toby Leonard Moore as Wesley ( Wilson Fisk's right hand man).
