In every presidential election, there's the bet, the contender, and the others are merely fillers -- people who really had no chance of winning but are running anyway.

One of them is rapper Waka Flocka Flame, who just announced his intent on running for office in next year's elections.

In a report from CNN, it appears that the rapper is vying to become the next POTUS, and the Atlanta native fittingly announced his intent on running for office on 4/20, the holiday known to be dedicated to marijuana.

This, of course, fits his propaganda properly, considering that his first order of business, according to his video as posted by Rolling Stone, is to immediately legalize marijuana --- among other things.

In his video, Waka Flocka Flame said, "I'm very pleased to announce today -- on 4/20, the best day of the year -- I will be running for president, and the first thing I'm gonna do when I get into office is legalize marijuana."

Other highlights of the rapper's campaign included a proposed reformation on education, congressional relations (although it is doubtful that members of the congress are too happy about that) and a minimum wage increase (that could just possibly gain him some points).

It seems unlikely that people will ever take his campaign seriously, however, he has waded into political debates before, expressing his disgust on racism. The rapper appeared last march on in episode of "Erin Burnett Out Front" and admitted to being disgusted about the video of the University of Oklahoma's SAE Fraternity's racist chants. He said, "For me to see that video -- I was like, 'Damn, that's what ya'll do behind closed doors?' That disgusted me."

This is not the first time that he expressed interest in running for office either, as according to TIME magazine, it seems that he's making good on a tweet promise he made from 2012, which read, "I'm dead a- running for president in 2016."

There's no word yet on how the rapper is going to go on with his campaign, nor is there news on his potential campaign staff. However, if this is a serious proposal and not a mere joke, then next year's campaign should be an interesting one.

What do you think of Waka's interest in the presidency? Does he have an actual chance or is this presidential intent going nowhere?
