During his concert last Saturday night, Bobby Brown announced that his daughter, Bobbi Kristina, is awake, three months after she was found unconscious in a tub at her home in Georgia.

According to Fox News, Brown told the crowd during his appearance at the Verizon Theatre in Texas that "Bobbi is awake, she is watching me."

However, despite his claim, TMZ sources say that Whitney Houston's family has denied any changes at all in Bobbi Kristina's condition, although according to the Brown's attorney, her situation has improved, saying that she "is presently embarking on a rehabilitation process and the quality of her life will not be known for years to come."

Brown's wife, Alicia Etheredge-Brown, however, indicated that her husband was in an emotional state onstage, and said in a statement, "My husband made an attempt to correct the negative comments he must endure on a daily basis from both family and the public regarding his daughter's medical condition. He is encouraged by the steps that Bobbi Kristina has made since her hospitalization on January 31, 2015. She has made it out of ICU, opened her eyes, and started a rehabilitation that will be long and hard."

Bobbi Kristina's grandmother, Cissy Houston, also said in a separate statement as noted by NBC News, "While she is no longer in a medically induced coma she has a tracheotomy and according to the doctors she has global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive. Meeting with the doctors and understanding that she can live in this condition for a lifetime truly saddens me. We can only trust in God for a miracle at this time."

CNN noted that Bobbi Kristina's mother, the late Whitney Houston, was also found in the bathtub in 2012, her official cause of death said to be accidental drowning with heart disease and cocaine use as contributing factors. Bobbi Kristina, on the other hand, was found alive but unresponsive and was treated at an Atlanta-area hospital.

Due to the suspicious turn of events, it was reported earlier that the police have been treating the case as a criminal investigation, however, no updates have been made available to the public yet. The man who found her in the tub, her close friend and frequent house guest, Maxwell Lomas, claimed that he had nothing to do with the incident. Lomas's attorney, Philip Holloway said about his client, "He wants nothing more than to see Bobbi Kristina open her eyes, wake up and make a full and complete recovery."
