Recently, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active was reported to have acquired its Bluetooth SIG certification then a Phone Arena report said that it was recently seen in an alleged photo leaked from the AT&T's inventory list. The same article, however, said that the recent claim has not yet been verified.
Android Pit earlier noted that the expected release of the phone will be sometime next month or in June, basing this timeline from the two- to three-month release delay between the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy S4 Active.
There are rumors online that the upcoming release will include a 5.1-inch QHD Super AMOLED screen which is similar to the S6 and S6 Edge. Android Pit noted that the device will also come in an octacore Exynos 7420 chipset, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of on-board storage, and a 16-megapixel camera similar to what the Galaxy S6 has.
Aside from these amazing features, here are some of the specifications and features which will reportedly make this phone an amazing gadget for sporty people:
* Waterproof and more durable
Android Pit added that the S6 Active is expected to be waterproof and will have additional durability. This will reportedly result in increase in size from Galaxy S6's 70.5 x 143.4 x 6.8 mm to 73.6 x 146.9 x 8.8 mm
* Rugged design
This phone makeup is surely perfect for those who love physical activities because it will match the outside conditions. BGR said rugged Active model will feature buttons on the front. But with this addition, the outlet wrote that it will do away with fingerprint and heart rate sensors.
"We may well see some of the same kinds of 'rugged' design choices from the Galaxy S4 Active make a reappearance in screws, bumpers and rubber buttons but we somehow doubt that even with a plastic backing though that the Galaxy S6 Active battery would be removable or have a microSD card slot," Android Pit added.
* Camera overhauled
According to Tech Radar, the rear camera of the phone will have a 16MP sensor, with an aperture of f1.9. "This thing is going to be excellent for low light, and an improvement of 34% over the Galaxy S5," it explained.
* Additional Storage
GottaBeMobile indicated that it may also have additional storage through a micro-SD slot.
* Longer battery life
Android Pit said that the upcoming phone release will have a larger battery of 3,500 mAh compared to the 2,550 mAh of the S6 giving sports enthusiasts more battery life while they are on the go.
