Production for "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" is about to kick off again.

In a statement reported by the Gold Coast Bulletin, Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance's director of entertainment, Mal Tulloch, revealed that the cast and crew received correspondence from the producers that shooting is expected to go "on or about" April 20.

The letters also indicated that employees were expected to resume work on Thursday for "two days preparation," Gold Coast Bulletin wrote. Travel arrangements would also be made for crew members who needed to return to the city.

"It's obviously great news, everybody wants to get back in and finish the job," Tulloch said, as reported by the news outlet. He also added that they are not expecting "any deviation" from the filming resumption's date.

Filming for the $250 million fifth installment of Disney's movie franchise was cut short when its lead actor, Johnny Depp, injured his hand in an off-set accident. He left Australia last month to undergo surgery in the United States and was seen boarding a plane with his arm and hand taped, Daily Mail noted.

Other stars of the flick, which is slated for release on July 7, 2017, haven't wandered off away from the set. Gold Coast Bulletin noted that Geoffrey Rush, who reprises his role as Hector Barbossa, was seen at Narrowneck a week ago. Javier Bardem, whose character is the film's villain, was spotted relaxing at Byron Bay with his wife, actress Penelope Cruz, and their two children.

Despite Depp's absence, co-director Joachim Rønning still continued production for "Pirates of the Caribbean 5," presumably filming other stars' scenes without the actor. On March 31, the filmmaker posted a selfie on Instagram with the caption: "My #happyface waking up after a 17-hour shooting day," noting that Ausralia "really has some of the best crews in the world."

Pre-production for the movie began in September, with filming officially kicking off in February, Daily Mail noted. The movie was chosen to be shot in the country after a $20 million tax incentive from the Australian government was granted.

Kevin R. McNally and Stephen Graham are also back to their respective roles for the film, Cinema Blend wrote. New cast members include "Maleficent" actor Brenton Thwaites, Golshifteh Farahani, and Kaya Scodelario of "The Maze Runner" as the lead actress. Orlando Bloom, who portrayed Will Turner in past installments of the franchise, revealed that he is still in negotiation to reprise his role, according to IGN.

The movie is co-directed by Espen Sandberg, with Jerry Bruckheimer producing and Jeff Nathanson as the screenplay writer, Variety wrote.

"Dead Men Tell No Tales" will see Jack Sparrow "targeted by the villainous Captain Salazar (Bardem) as Sparrow searches for Poseidon's trident in hopes of fending off deadly ghost pirates," Variety wrote. Thwaites' character, meanwhile, is a British soldier who will team up with the notorious bandit, The Daily Telegraph noted.
