The Air Jordan XX9 "Playoff Pack" has arrived with its scheduled launch today, April 15.

The launch, according to Slam Online, is in preparation for the 2015 NBA Playoffs where Air Jordan is expected to be well represented during the games especially with Kawhi Leonard, Blake Griffin and Chris Paul playing.

It was noted in the same report that the newest shoe release is the lightest Air Jordan ever made and it will have a unique upper graphic and blue highlights.

"It also has a re-engineered flight plate, and a one-piece woven upper that moves naturally and comfortably with your foot," Slam Online added in its report.

Nike said that the shoe will be available in all Nike stores and outlets for $225 in two colorways: the Home (White/Photo Blue-Turquoise Blue-Cool Blue) and Away (Black/Cool Blue/Photo Blue-White).

"Time for the stretch run.The road to the playoffs begins here. Take Flight," Nike added. Its look, as observed by Jordan's Daily, is "fit for Michael Jordan's Charlotte Hornets."

In differentiating the two colorways, Sneaker Bar Detroit said that the Home has a wavy pattern in the one-piece woven upper which is white and has cool blue and photo blue accents.

"Completing the shoe are both the '23' number on the tongue and Jumpman logo on the side panel sitting atop an icy translucent outsole," Sneaker Bar Detroit added.

Meanwhile, the Away colorway has a navy pattern in the one-piece woven black upper with white and cool blue details.

Both shoes, according to Sole Collector, will have an accent of varying shades of blue on the collar, lace loops, midsole and outsole. "The performance woven uppers feature the flowing 'wave' pattern that debuted in January," the report added.

Despite the season nearing its end, Sneaker Watch said that it is good that NBA fans have looked forward to the release of this shoe. It added that the arrival of the "Playoff Pack" is timely for the teams' quest for the championship.

"The array of blues found on this pair probably hint at a release aimed at Russell Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder, Sneaker News earlier said, adding that "it'd make enough sense given that Jordan Brand waited until mid-April to ensure that OKC had indeed secured a playoff spot (they're still fighting for that 8th and final seed out West)."

A separate Sneaker News writeup, on the other hand, discussed that as the OKC battles it out with the New Orleans Pelicans and the Phoenix Suns, anything is still possible. It added that if Westbrook will be able to perform well during the games, he will surely be wearing the Air Jordan XX9 from the "Playoff Pack."
