A video of actor Dennis Quaid has leaked online, showing the 61-year-old in the middle of a breakdown, ranting about babies, zombies, and intruders unseen.
In the leaked clip, The Huffington Post noted that the actor was yelling on-screen, saying, "I can't even get a line out until dopey the d--k starts whispering in your ear, you're not even watching anymore."
He went on, ranting, No, don't f--king 'Dennis' me. I am doing my job here. This is the most unprofessional set I have ever been on."
He then unleashed a string of profanities, until the camera man pans the camera away from him. The website noted that this is not the first time an actor was caught on film having a meltdown. Remember Christian Bale when he screamed on the set of "Batman"?
However, it seems that not everyone is buying Quaid's so-called meltdown. Some say the video, which was uploaded on YouTube on April 10, might just be a setup. The video has been viewed more than 1.6M times.
A Reddit user by the name of Thumpar noted, "It feels scripted to me, but so does every viral video since [Jimmy] Kimmel started doing his schtick. It's really messing with my mind.
Another said, "Yes. There's something too on-point about it. Like if an actor were to do something like this, it would look exactly like this. Looks planned."
Fox News also noted that it was not clear when or where the video was taken, but as far as projects go, the "Parent Trap" actor does not have a project in production, however, it seems that he will be starring in a 10-episode series and will serve as a producer on "The Art of More."
Quaid's rep cannot be reached for comment, however, as one viewer was said to have noted, "Folks, it's Jimmy Kimmel. Relax, it's all staged."
However, according to The Wrap, Kimmel addressed the video and said that he had nothing to do with it. The host said on Tuesday's show, "I watched it a bunch of times last night - and when I woke up this morning - I was being blamed for it."
Kimmel also joked, "Did you ever consider that maybe Dennis was doing voiceover for a new cartoon? That's right - he's playing 'Dennis Duck.'You know, I promised we'd get to the bottom of this Dennis Quaid video controversy. The truth is - the reason Dennis released that video - is to promote his new children's book. 'Dopey the Dick.' I read it to my daughter last night. She loved it."
It was also noted by the outlet that Quaid is no stranger to on-air jinxes, as he previously pranked unsuspecting people on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."
Check out the video. Do you think his meltdown is real or fake?
