Ranchera singer Vicente Fernández speaks up about the rumors claiming about his death.

In a post on his official Instagram page, Fernández clarified that he is very much alive and that the reports circulating around about him passing away are just hoaxes. The 75-year-old musician also expressed disappointment for the media outlets that reported his purported death.

"I especially wonder that a television program is confirming it. This bothers me because my fans and my family are concerned about such false information," Fernandez wrote on Instagram, as translated by Fox News Latino. "I swear to you that the day I die, I will let you know," he added.

To further prove that he is alive and well, Fernández also shared a video of himself from the farm he is currently staying at. He captioned the clip: "Working out at the ranch, breathing in clean air and thanking God for everything."

The "Mujeres Divinas" singer was in the hospital last month to undergo surgery for a ventral hernia, Latin Times wrote. Aside from the disease, Fernández also went through several surgeries in the last few years for his prostate cancer and other health issues. Though the operations are successful, the musician was still advised by physicians to watch out for his health condition.

Heeding his doctors' advice, the Mexican singer chose to reside at his ranch, Los Tres Potrillos, in Tlajomulco de Zúñiga after his surgery to recover from his disease and enjoy some time with his family, Latin Times noted.

"Thank you so much for worrying about my health, I am giving it my all," Fernández told the Mexican press, as reported by the news outlet. The musician's last performance was in January held in León, Guanajuato, which was reported to be a part of his farewell tour.

Fernández is also planning to hold a farewell concert at Mexico City's largest plaza, the Zócalo, later this year, Fox News Latino wrote. According to ranchera music icon, the performance will showcase some of his most well-known hits, adding that his fans are in for a great and unforgettable show.

"I always said that I would like to say farewell there with all of my people," he said, as quoted by Fox News Latino. "It is my farewell from the stage and I assure you that it will be something we are not going to forget."

A separate report from the news outlet stated that Fernández cancelled his concerts in the United States and Mexico in October 2012 after doctors found a cancerous lump in his river. The farewell tour was supposed to last one year but was met with several interruptions due to the singer's deteriorating health.
