"Avengers: Age of Ultron" will be in theaters less than a month away, and yet, fans still get surprised by the sheer amount of things we still don't know about the film. For instance, we already know of Paul Bettany's involvement in the film as The Vision, on top of being the voice to Tony Stark's robot butler, JARVIS, and yet, it took this long to see how he's going to look like.
But yes, Entertainment Weekly managed to reveal Bettany's new look in one of their four collectible covers, as if it's not a complete revelation to the fans. As Screen Crush noted, it was almost funny the way the magazine just put him in the middle of the issue, like he's one of the characters you've already seen before.
Cinema Blend noted that Bettany's The Vision is very similar to the android from the comics, leaving the color scheme intact with his red-purple skin and green costume with red patterns an the yellow cape. However, his gloves were noted to be missing, and his booots darker, but over-all, MCU's version is very close to the one in the comic books.
According to Collider, the EW covers provide a fresh face to the cast and this film's villain, Ultron, the rogue drone from Stark's own labs, and embodied by James Spader with the help of motion capture.
Screen Crush also noted that the collection of covers, which shows the Avengers in different positions ready for battle, is actually one large image that, when placed side by side, will show the heroes ready to take on their biggest villain to date.
The surprises did not stop there. Apparenlty, EW managed to get some real scoop on what to expect from the film, including a blossoming romance between Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner and Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanoff. As the magazine noted, even though this is not the first time that Marvel decided to add a little pizzazz of romance to the otherwise action-packed films (Robert Downey Jr's Tony Stark and Gwyneth Paltrow's Pepper Potts, Chris Hemsworth's Thor and Natalie Portman's Jane Foster as examples) this is going to be the first time that an Avenger takes a pick from their very limited pool.
So what do you think about the rather anticlimactic The Vision reveal? Do you think something will happen to Bruce and Natasha's relationship? Are you excited to see "Age of Ultron" yet?
If not, check out this trailer and see what the fuss is all about:
