If we followed Apple's pattern in releasing their latest products, consumers might be getting the iPad Mini 4 this coming October or November.

For months, speculations have been surfacing about the alleged iPad Mini 4. One of the news sites which believes in an October or November unveiling of the gadget is Macworld. Check out below for the respective months Apple unveiled the three versions of the iPad Mini:

Regardless of the release date, reports are also claiming that the rumored iPad Mini 4 is a vast upgrade from its predecessor. Listed below are five major improvements of Apple's latest tablet:

Chip

According to a report from The Inquisitr, the iPad Mini 4 will sport the A8X processor. Obviously, this is different from the iPad Mini 3's A7 chip with 64‑bit architecture and M7 motion coprocessor, Apple's website wrote. We previously reported that an A8X processor, which the iPad Air 2 also runs on, will offer 40% faster performance and 180 times faster graphics.

Design and Display

The new tablet is also expected to have a thinner finish just like the iPad Air models. The iPad Mini 3 comes in silver, gold, and space gray colors with a 2048-by-1536 resolution at 326 pixels per inch (ppi) and a Retina display, Apple wrote. It's unclear whether the iPad Mini 4 will also come out in the same colors as its forerunner.

Capacity

The Inquisitr reports that the upcoming gadget's screen will boast a RAM capacity of 2GB and a 7.9-inch display screen. The iPad Mini 3 has up to 128 GB in capacity.

Wireless

Christian Today reports that the iPad Mini 4 will reportedly offer 802.11ac Wi-Fi support, which is up to 1733 Mbps of wireless Internet connection that can work on a 5 GHz frequency band. The iPad Mini 3, according to Apple's official site, possesses a Wi-Fi dual channel (802.11a/​b/​g/​n) and a 2.4GHz and 5GHz and MIMO.

Features

The iPad Mini 4's alleged A8X processor also means that the gadget can hold heavy video streaming and multi-tasking activities, BREATHEcast wrote. There aren't leaked images yet for the device, but it could also have the same features as the iPad Mini 3, such as the Touch ID, Siri, and iOS 8.

Macworld also wrote that there are possibilities that Apple will discontinue two of the currently available iPad Mini gadgets ("the original iPad mini and the iPad mini 3, keeping only the iPad mini 2 on as a more affordable option") when the iPad Mini 4 is unveiled.

According to BREATHEcast, current speculations say that the tech giant could announce the new iPad Mini alongside the iPad Pro in the Worldwide Developer's Conference 2015 scheduled in June.
