Despite a host of problems, Samsung's Galaxy Note 2 smartphone is currently in the process of receiving Android 4.3 Jelly Bean worldwide, and owners of the popular phablet in Canada can now join in on the fun.

Multiple carriers in Canada, including Videotron (Galaxy Note 2 model SGH-T999V) and Mobilicity (Galaxy Note 2 model SGH-T889V), have started pushing out the Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.3 update over the air. As usual, however, not everybody will get it immediately due to the phased, batch nature of Android updates. Those too impatient to wait for an over-the-air notification can snag the firmware manually through Samsung's KIES software.

Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is the first major Android version bump the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has received since its 2012 fall release. There's the usual security and performance improvements, and fans of the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch will be pleased to know Android 4.3 Jelly Bean contains Bluetooth 4.0 LE support, a requirement for full connectivity with the Galaxy Gear.

Samsung does not provide an official changelog, but here's a list of improvements compiled by the folks over at SamMobile:
