It takes a lot to be a good parent, but all good ones have something in common -- they would always look out for their children and worry about their future. And despite being a big movie star, actor Ryan Reynolds is just like any other parent in that regard because his daughter with wife, "Gossip Girl" alum Blake Lively, is only a few months old, and he's already worried about her future, and what it has in store for her.
Ryan and Blake, according to The Hollywood Reporter, have been protecting their baby from the glare of the paparazzi lights, so much so that they only revealed her name very recently. But more than protecting her from the daily frenzy that follows their lives as a Hollywood couple, Ryan claimed that he hoped one day baby James (yes, that's the name of their daughter) will follow a path of her own with a normal career which is not in front of the camera.
In an interview with Willie Geist in "Today", Reynolds admitted, "I worry that my daughter's going to want to go into show business. You worry about really stupid stuff."
He also admitted that as early as now, he whispers career advice into his daughters ear. "I like to whisper in her ear really normal, everyday jobs: 'You're going to be a flight attendant. A barista,' Just normal, wonderful jobs. You can have a nice, normal life."
He also noted that besides being an actress, he would not want for her to be a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader either, telling Geist, I do not want my daughter to be a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, although I imagine it's an exciting job."
Of course, Ryan knows what it's like to have an exciting life and an exciting job, as the "Woman in Gold" star has a lot of things going for him, including a "Deadpool" film.
However, despite his career, he noted that family is his top priority, and he wants to share his success with his wife and their baby by his side. He told Geist, "That's the priority,. You never cross over-you never work at the same time. You make sure that we're all together. It involves a little bit of sacrifice, but that's a small, small sacrifice for the grand scheme of things."
Both Ryan and Blake have films coming up this April. The Daily Mail noted that "Woman in Gold" is due out Friday, and Blake's "Age of Adaline" opens April 27 in theaters.
