Philadelphia 76ers swingman Evan Turner is steadily drawing interest from multiple teams, thanks to a strong start this season, a source close to situation reported on Monday.

Turner, who is set to become a restricted free agent after this season, has been one of the hottest names on the trading market after averaging 21.3 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.8 assists through 18 games.

Despite a sensational start, Turner's tenure in Philadelphia remains in question as the Sixers try to rebuild their franchise with a young and dynamic core. Turner, the second overall pick in 2010 draft, is viewed as a solid up-and-coming player, but many analysts aren't convinced that he's capable of assuming the role of a franchise player. Moreover, Philadelphia is hesitant to pay Turner $10 million per year.

With two months left before the midseason NBA trade deadline, the Sixers are expected to gauge all trade offers they can get for Turner. According to reports, the Chicago Bulls and the Cleveland Cavaliers are the frontrunner for the versatile swingman, but the list could get longer as the deadline approaches.

Turner to Cavs

There are reports that the Cavs are preparing to send former first round pick Dion Waiters to the Sixers in exchange for Turner.

In his latest article on New York Daily News, NBA writer Mitch Lawrence tackled the possibility of Turner playing for the Cavs at some point this season. With last summer's free agent pick-up Earl Clark and Alonzo Gee struggling to put decent numbers on the board at small forward position, the Cavs are expected to make aggressive moves in an attempt to fill this gaping hole on their roster.

"The first team they'll call, if they haven't already, is the Cavaliers, who have been searching for a small forward since you-know-who took his talents to South Beach. Turner is an Ohio State alum and he'd be an upgrade over some ofyou-know-who's replacements: Luke Walton, Alonzo Gee, Omri Casspi and Earl Clark," Lawrence stated.

Turner to Bulls

Another possible trade scenario that has potential to materialize is a deal between the Bulls and the Sixers. The Bulls have struggled to find their identity ever since Derrick Rose suffered a season-ending right leg injury, and Turner could certainly give them a scoring punch.

Luol Deng, who will also become a free agent after this season, is the Bulls' most attractive trade chip. However, the Sixers only need draft picks, not veterans with big contracts. For this trade to happen, the Bulls have to surrender their future picks or perhaps their rights to Nikola Mirotic for Turner.
