Expected to free users from limits of the latest operating system update, the iOS 8.2 jailbreak tool could arrive soon, if people working behind it eventually succeed.
The jailbreak is previously speculated to launch in Beijing's recent Mobile Security Summit, but as the event came to wrap, no viable tool appeared.
However, the TaiG team has revealed a couple of interesting details, which appear to boil down in one pleasing word: Hope.
According to Gotta Be Mobile, the jailbreak team aims to release the tool "as soon as" they can. The development of such update is said to be "constrained by many factors."
Followers would remember that all had been well until Apple killed PanGu's iOS 8.1 jailbreak. This event, however, marked TaiG's recognition, when the team released an untethered jailbreak tool for iOS 8.1.1.
While TaiG has not given a specific release date for its latest tool, prospects are delighted to know that the team continues to work -- specially that iOS 8.2 is thought to be more difficult to jailbreak.
The TaiG team is credited for being able to jailbreak iOS 8.2 beta 1 and 2, GBM noted. Citing Apple's non-patching of previous exploits, the source is convinced that iOS 8.2 "is still jailbreakable."
The release of iOS 8.2 may have been dreadful to some for a couple of reasons. First, there's the Apple Watch application, which seems to occupy a permanent space in one's device -- it cannot be removed as of this writing.
Slate informed that the app is unusable by far, hence becoming an early, daily advertisement that could only start its wonders -- or horrors -- by the time Apple Watch preorders set in. iOS users have taken their feelings to Twitter, and as cited by the Business Insider, they're not very happy.
An iOS user wrote, "Why has an app called Apple Watch been installed on my iPhone when I did not download it or want it @AppStore? This is unethical."
"Why would they make the Apple Watch App so you can't delete it? NOT EVERYONE CAN AFFORD A 10K WATCH," another expressed.
The Inquisitr cited users who experienced bugs and issues upon installation of Apple's update. Reportedly, some had problems with AT&T LTE, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Needless to say, connectivity problems are annoying indeed, but when attached to new updates, they seem to become even more depressing.
Do you think TaiG will succeed with an iOS 8.2 jailbreak tool? How do you feel about Apple's security measures protecting its operating system?
