Nike signature shoes are set to take the spotlight once again with the upcoming release of new colorways of the famous signature sneakers of Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant and Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant.
The Nike Kobe 8 System will be released in a premium version dubbed as the "What The Kobe" edition, which features a unique blend of different colorways of this signature model from Nike. According to Nike, this eye-catching shoe sports a compilation of the features of almost 30 different editions of the Kobe 8.
"A mind-bending compilation of colors, patterns, materials and graphic details that celebrate the almost 30 different releases of the Kobe 8," Nike described the shoe on their official website.
Officially listed as the Electric Orange/Deep Night-Violet-Bright Citrus colorway, this edition of the Nike Kobe 8 System Premium will be released on Friday at 8 p.m EST and will retail at $140 per pair.
On the other hand, the latest colorway of Durant's signature shoe is scheduled to arrive at retailers on Saturday at the official Nike Store website and selected Nike retailers worldwide. Retail price is set at $130 per pair.
The Nike KD VI "Precision Timing" that is officially listed as the Metallic Pewter/Metallic Gold Star-Black-Arctic Green colorway of this model is said to be inspired by the "craftsmanship of a wristwatch" as described by solecollector.
"Inspired by the craftsmanship of a wristwatch, the 'Precision Timing' colorway pays homage to the intricacies of KD's game - the small details and stoic precision that make 28 points per game seem like clockwork.
The shoe's metallic silver upper features reflective radial machining lines, mimicking the gear train of a wristwatch. Gold accents, along with micro machining marks on the swoosh and KD logo, help further the 'Precision Timing' theme."
Aside from the newest editions of the Kobe 8 System and KD VI, the classic Nike Cortez model is also set to hit the market this week.
It will come out in White/Gym Red-Metallic Silver-Game Royal and Challenge Red/Sail-Gym Red-Metallic Silver colorways on Thursday for $90 per pair.
