NBA fans are now excited for the release of the "NBA 2K16" game and they are all curious to know who will replace Kevin Durant in the cover of the basketball title.
Franchise Herald said the release of "NBA 2K16" on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC is expected to happen this October.
Although there is still no confirmation or official announcement on the release date of the game, Franchise Herald said it will be highly possible to be unveiled before the start of the new basketball season as based on the release dates of previous game installments.
As for the player who will grace the cover of the said game, the same report said that there are rumors that Houston Rockets' James Harden, New Orleans Pelicans' Anthony Davis and Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry are among the top contenders for the cover but this remains unconfirmed.
Meanwhile, a KpopStarz report said that Harden was the No. 1 on the list since he leads the NBA in terms of the number of points while Curry is the player with the highest percentage in three points and free throws.
Among the expected changes to come with the game are the full body scan of the players which will come after "NBA 2K15's" face scan feature. Some NBA teams have reportedly announced that their players have undergone a scanning process for the "NBA 2K16."
A similar NBA 2K16 Game report listed reasons why the following NBA players should be the cover of the upcoming game release:
James Harden
The Houston Rockets player has become a member of the US basketball team twice and has also been a prominent player in the league because of his "trademark beard." He alsowon gold medals in the 2012 Summer Olympics and the 2014 FIBA World Cup for the US team.
Anthony Davis:
NBA 2K16 Game said the Pelicans power forward and center has his name on top of the list for the cover because he was named the "Men's College Basketball Player of the Year" three years ago by Sporting News.
"He also sets the Kentucky men's basketball record for single-season blocked shots in the 2011-2012 season. He blocked John Henson with four seconds left to preserve a 73-72 victory," the same report added.
Other players who are believed to be considered for a spot on the cover are Ricky Rubio, Dwayne Wade and LeBron James.
Gamers are surely expecting that the player on the cover will be someone who will be an epitome of what the NBA is all about now. He is surely anticipated as much as the game because of the impact the cover leaves on the public.
If you will be asked, who do you think should replace Durant in the cover of the "NBA 2K16" game? Share your thoughts!
