Chris Brown seems to be eager to change his life for the better. Just days after his probation following his attack on Rihanna in 2009 ended, he's thinking of getting his life and his family together.

According to Hollywood Life, Chris is busy baby-proofing his apartment as he readies himself to new roommates - his ex girlfriend Nia Guzman-Amey, and their daughter, Royalty.

Yes, it seems complicated considering that Chris and Nia were long over, but it seems like they're trying to be adults about it. A source for the entertainment news outlet said, "His relationship with Nia is a lot stronger these days. They have a better understanding now."

Despite their complicated relationship, it seems that Chris is definitely looking out for his daughter when he asked Nia to move in with him. The source also shared, "Her living with him - it's on his mind and he's trying to figure out just how that would work. He knows Nia wants to move to LA. It's a lot cheaper for him to move her in with him that it would be to set her up on her own."

For a successful artist, that may sound a bit stingy, but Chris isn't thinking about the financial aspect, but in fact, he just wanted what's best for his little girl. The source went on to say, "He's not sure how it would work, but he's going to make it happen. If there's one thing in his life he's going to take seriously, it's his daughter."

He even said out loud to one of his pals that he's really serious about committing to his baby girl. The source said that Chris was heard telling his friend, rapper Tyga, about his plans, saying, "for once in my life, I can't be selfish. It ain't even about me no more, it's about Royalty now."

Chris fathering a child came as much of a surprise to him as it did to Nia. According to The Daily Mail, last year, while pregnant, Nia had a baby shower with who she thought was the father of her child, a man named Brazil. However, reports came earlier this month that a DNA test established Chris being the father of baby Royalty.

He isn't one to run from a baby, however, and he decided to be present in the child's life instead. A source for Times Live said, ''He's adamant that they raise Royalty together. It's very important to him that they have a near perfect relationship because he wants his daughter to be raised properly - with he and Nia. He knows from experience the hardships and heartache it can be without two parents in the same home and he doesn't want that for Royalty.''
