Vin Diesel and his longtime partner, Paloma Jimenez, have named their newborn daughter after the actor's close friend, the late Paul Walker.
"I named her Pauline. There's no other person that I was thinking about as I was cutting the umbilical cord. I knew he was there," Diesel told TV host Natalie Morales in an appearance on "The Today Show."
"It felt like, you know, a way to keep his memory a part of my family and a part of my world."
In a recent Facebook post, the "Furious 7" star shared about the birth of his third child. Attached in the announcement is a photo of his new bundle of joy, with the caption: "I hear babies crying, I watch them grow. They'll learn much more, than I'll ever know. And I think to myself, what a wonderful world..."
Diesel, whose real name is Mark Sinclair, has two other children named Hania Riley, 6, and 4-year-old son Vincent, Fox News Latino reported. Announcement about Jimenez's pregnancy with their third child came in February after the actor rescheduled a few promotional stops for the upcoming release of "Furious 7." Us Weekly noted that the film's March 10 premiere in Abu Dhabi was moved to Los Angeles.
"Furious 7," the last movie of the popular franchise which Walker was a part of, will premiere in theaters on April 15, The Telegraph wrote. The actor died in 2013 while the sequel was still being filmed. His scenes were finished with the help of his brothers, Caleb and Cody.

Speaking to MTV about his projects with MCU, the 47-year-old actor hinted that his involvement with the production company could provide more opportunities for his career.
"You know, I enjoyed the experience of playing Groot. A lot of it was the great cast, and the genius of James Gunn. But I also enjoyed, you know, entering into the Marvel world. And... good things will come from that," Diesel told MTV.
He continued, "I know James Gunn is very excited and he's working on it right now. He's very excited about what Groot will do in the 2017 movie."
"Guardians of the Galaxy 2" will see Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Diesel, and Bradley Cooper reprising their respective roles. The film is slated for release in theaters on May 5, 2017.
