Developed by FromSoftware and produced by Bandai Namco Games, "Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin" arrives in North America and Europe on April 2, 2015.

European players are most certainly glad to hear the news, as the game's launch in the region is previously slated for April 7, Eurogamer reported.

To make things more interesting, a new set of the title's screenshots has recently hit the web. According to VG247, the images "highlight the updated graphics," enemy placements and a new character.

"Scholar of the First Sin" packs a revised version of "Dark Souls 2," Polygon wrote in an earlier article. Furthermore, the title brings all downloadable content add-ons, among other modifications.

DLC pack contents include "Crown of the Sunken King," "Crown of the Old Iron King" and "Crown of the Ivory King," Bandai Namco Games listed.

As told by Polygon, the game comes with a new multiplayer cap of six players, and the characters' placements will not just be determined solely by standard "soul memory" tracking.

Global producer Atsuo Yoshimura explained that players will now be able to control the range of soul memory, allowing co-op friends to find each other more conveniently.

Enemy placement is another major change to look after. Yoshimura expressed, "We revised the enemy placement completely for all maps in the game."

"This new enemy placement completely changes the gameplay experience. All those safe zones that players remember from the original 'Dark Souls 2' are no longer safe. Players need to come up with a new battle strategy," the producer added.

That being said, "Scholar of the First Sin" might just be the best installment "Dark Souls" fans can ever enjoy yet -- and of course, we're not forgetting about the Forlorn Invader.

According to IGN, the Invader "hunts down player through the game with deadly skill and tenacity."

TechnoBuffalo is convinced that "Scholar of the First Sin" will be the "highest quality release" of the game among consoles, most specially the PS4.

For those who may not know, the game's PS4 and Xbox One versions are expected to run at 1080p / 60 fps, Polygon wrote.

The action-RPG title is set for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, VG247 noted.
