The excitement for the seventh installment of the "Fast and Furious" franchise has been building up for quite some time now. A recently released teaser is sure to fire up the hype once more. Check it out below.
Michelle Rodriguez isn't a stranger when it comes to having fight scenes in the popular franchise. In the new clip, the actress' character, Letty, is squaring off once again with an opponent - this time with UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, who portrays Kara.
All dolled up, they exchanged kicks and blows, despite wearing long gowns and high-heeled shoes, making the teaser even more interesting.
As pointed out by USA Today, "even the stunts that don't involve actual contact come off as pretty intense." Despite the believability of the fight scenes, all of that was for the camera only. The two actresses remain chummy with each other in between takes.
Vin Diesel Pays Tribute to Paul Walker
It's been more than a year since Paul Walker's tragic death, but his absence still looms heavily on his loved ones and fans. In an advanced screening of "Furious 7" held in Los Angeles, Vin Diesel paid tribute to his longtime friend.
"This was a labor of love. It was in some ways the hardest movie I ever had to do," Diesel said, as quoted by MTV. "Because the relationships that you see on film are so real. When the tragedy happened, I lost my best friend. I lost my brother. Tonight..." His emotions took over and he was not able to continue his speech, but, sensing his grief, the audience members comforted Diesel by saying, "You got family here, Vin," to which he was grateful for.
Diesel continued, while pointing at an image of Walker displayed on the screen, "Please know that we made this movie from our hearts, and know that this is our gift to you. And more importantly, it's for my brother there. Let it be the legacy we know he deserves."
"Furious 7" will see the return of Diesel, Walker, Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Elsa Pataky, and Lucas Black reprising their roles. Newcomers to the franchise include Jason Statham, Djimon Hounsou, Tony Jaa, Ronda Rousey, and Kurt Russell, Coming Soon reported. James Wan directed the film, with the script written by Chris Morgan.
The movie is slated for release in theaters on April 3. Watch the trailers by clicking the links below.
