Announced at this year's International Consumer Electronics Show, the LG G Flex 2 made history as the first Android 5.0 Lollipop smartphone packing Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 chip. Armed with a 5.5-inch display, a "self-healing" mechanism and an iconic curved profile, the device had prying heads turning, and it's interesting to think how its successor keeps up.

Looking at conventional naming, the next G Flex will most probably be called the LG G Flex 3. Today, rumors aimed at the device have hit the web, and one speculation packs the device with a 20 MP camera.

The information comes from lggflex3.com, which tells that "at least 17 MP" may be stuffed into the G Flex 3's hardware. In addition, the snapper is touted to work "alongside the new 3D camera feature."

Users would know that the G Flex 2 comes with a 13 MP main camera, supported by OIS, laser auto-focus and 4K Ultra-HD camcording.

According to lggflex3.com, the U.S. can expect the G Flex 3 on the 4th week of February 2016. The outlet seems convinced in its prediction, saying, "The good thing about the previous releases in the G Flex series is that the G Flex 3 release date should be easy to predict."

In terms of display, the G Flex 3 is rumored to sport a 6- to 6.1-inch display, lggflex3info.com notes. This is said to be a 4K Sapphire screen, housing as much resolution as 580 ppi. Needless to say, this looks to be a big jump from the G Flex 2.

As told by the source, the G Flex 3 is believed to pack Snapdragon octa-core processor clocked at 3.2 GHZ. Four GB of RAM are expected.

Interestingly, the source claims about "a foldable design," though it could also refer to another LG flagship that's yet to come -- the LG G5.

Androidinfo.net ponders on the inclusion of a security scanner, which could be fingerprint- or iris-supported.

Expecting the device's battery at 3800 mAh, lggflex3.com cites other purported specs, such as a 5 MP front snapper and 32 GB / 64 GB / 128 GB storage options. Wireless charging, waterproofing, dustproofing and shockproofing features are also anticipated.

With regards to pricing, the G Flex 3 is believed to sell "more consumer friendly," lggflex3info.com writes. The source tells, "We have heard some very strong reports that the US LG G Flex 3 price will be in the area of $650."
