Another actor has been confirmed to take part in the highly anticipated erotic film "Fifty Shades of Grey."

Max Martini, the star of Hollywood movies like "Captain Phillips" and "Pacific Rim," will play the role of the bodyguard of lead character, Christian Grey.

According to the New York Daily News, the 43-year-old actor is reportedly set to take on the character of the bodyguard named Jason Taylor. Dakota Johnson, Luke Grimes, Eloise Mumford and Jennifer Ehle have also signed on to be in the movie directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson.

The erotic romance novel "Fifty Shades of Grey" became an international bestseller and has been translated in 52 languages since its release in 2011. So far, the "Fifty Shades" trilogy has sold more than 90 million copies worldwide in e-book and print, making it one of the fastest-selling book series in history. However, in a recent interview, the book's author, E L James, admitted that she never expected her book to become this popular or become a movie, and that she almost finds the success overwhelming.

"I'm terrified,"  James told Entertainment Weekly referring to shooting the movie. "I've been terrified from the moment I published the book. My mother was terrified of everything, and so am I," she added. "It's a terrible way to grow up. You don't expect this kind of success."

"Even now it floors me. My only ambition for the books was to see them in bookstores. This is huge. And there is this passionate fandom; we need to get this right for them."

She also confessed that she was hesitant to agree to a film version at first. "I didn't know if it was the right thing to do. And then I thought, 'I'm middle-aged; when in the hell am I going to get another chance to make a movie in Hollywood?' That was the final thing: Let's go for it. Let's see if we can have some fun with it."

"Fifty Shades of Grey" will open in cinemas on Valentine's Day weekend in 2015. Shooting begins early next month.
