Appearing in a bikini selfie, American actress and singer Hilary Duff encouraged women, especially mothers, to love their bodies.

Pending the divorce that Duff filed in February, Huffington Post said the actress captioned her sexy photo with "Hey #moms #westillgotit #loveyourbod."

But a lot of people have been speculating that Duff's recent Instagram post was also intended for her soon-to-be ex husband, retired professional ice hockey center Mike Comrie.

TMZ speculated that it was Duff's way of showing Comrie her "#postbreakuphotness" and what "he is missing out" especially now that she has decided to end their marriage. Married in 2010, the couple reportedly separated in January 2013.

Hollywood Life said Duff walked down the aisle in an "intimate ceremony" in Montecito. The then 22-year-old actress said her vows in front of 100 guests after a three-year relationship with Comrie. They met in 2007 during a trip to Idaho and were engaged in February 2010 in Hawaii.

But their marriage didn't work out. According to Cosmopolitan, Duff admitted that they were not meant to be "together forever."

"Things happen over a long relationship that you can't always fight. A marriage of 20 years, the accomplishment of that must feel really great, but there are also huge sacrifices. I just always want to fight for happiness," she was quoted as saying.

Despite what happened, Duff chose to acknowledge the happy times they've spent together. "We both really wanted to get married. I'd been working since the age of 11 or 12, so making that choice at a young age seemed right for me. Maybe it wasn't, but we spent the majority of our time together really happy," Duff explained.

According to Fashion and Style, Duff is seeking for primary custody of their son, Luca.

"It wasn't working well enough to stay together, but there was still a lot of love involved. It was just a slow set-in of us not being the match that we used to be. I'm lucky for the person he is and I am, and how we decided to handle this." "

Duff is now prioritizing her duties as a mother as she took time off work for her to be able to properly take care of Luca.

"Being a mom now has taken so much pressure off the 'what ifs.'Like, 'What if?' OK. I'm still going to be Luca's mom and I still have an important role in life. And I think taking that break made me so human again," she was quoted by Huffington Post as saying.
