Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello will be tying the knot soon, but perhaps, not this summer.
At the "Modern Family" PaleyFest Panel on Saturday, March 14, in Los Angeles, Vergara put a stop to the speculations surrounding her impending marriage with Manganiello.
"I don't know, how can something be postponed when it has never been set? It's really funny," the actress told Extra. "It's always a lot of fun for girls to plan the wedding."
According to a report from Fox News Latino, Manganiello previously expressed his desire for a summer wedding, but the Channing Tatum starrer "Magic Mike XXL" could deter that. The 42-year-old actress will also be busy promoting her upcoming action comedy film "Hot Pursuit" alongside co-star Reese Witherspoon.
"I always get upset, because my favorite job of all the jobs I do is going to work on the set of 'Modern Family,'" she told Us Weekly at the PaleyFest Panel. "It's like a family. Now I have four months of hiatus. I'm going to be promoting 'Hot Pursuit,' it comes out May 8 with Reese Witherspoon. So the rest of March and April is going to be promoting a movie. Then hopefully I'll get to do something else during the hiatus."
A report from NDTV previously claimed that Manganiello is "upset" that the Colombian bombshell announced to the press that their wedding has been postponed to give way to the actor's promotion of "Magic Mike XXL." The news outlet also insisted that Vergara is an "expert" at postponing weddings "as she did with her former fiancé Nick Loeb."
"Joe is just going along with what she wants. He wishes they could get married now and start their life together," an insider told InTouch Weekly magazine, as quoted by NDTV.
These rumors were never confirmed by the couple's representatives.
Manganiello and Vergara got engaged on Christmas Eve after only six months of dating, E! News reported. The couple has been romantically involved since June 2014.
Despite numerous speculations directed towards the wedding, Vergara clarified that preparations for the big event are still ongoing.
"It has to be a lot of people. We sat down and tried, 'OK, let's see if we can do like 20 and 20,' and it was impossible," she explained, as reported by Fox News Latino. NDTV noted that the couple was recently seen looking at potential wedding venues at Palm Beach.
Vergara also said that the wedding could possibly take place in the fall, a separate report from Us Weekly stated.
