Cristiano Ronaldo is not only making waves in football; the Portuguese athlete is also taking social media by storm.

According to a report from Mirror Online, Ronaldo is now the most liked person on Facebook with a total of 107 million likes on his official page, overtaking pop singer Shakira by 5,000. He is now roughly 29 million likes ahead of Barcelona rival Lionel Messi and 24 million likes ahead of his club Real Madrid, who ranks in "11th place in the 'likes' league with 83 million," the outlet wrote.

Aside from reigning on Facebook, Ronaldo is also the most followed sports personality on Twitter with over 34 million followers. His closest rival on the social media website is Brazilian footballer Kaká, Mirror Online noted.

Cristiano Ronaldo Feuding With Gareth Bale?

There have been rumors claiming that Ronaldo and teammate Gareth Bale are sporting unhealthy tension towards each other.

According to Metro, during Real Madrid's match against Levante, Ronaldo looked annoyed "when his effort against Levante missed the target, but then appeared to throw his toys even further out of the pram when Bale tucked in the rebound - his first strike in over 700 minutes." Bale's second goal came after "he helped Ronaldo's seemingly goal-bound effort into the net."

Former England striker Gary Lineker described Ronaldo's attitude as "bizarre and unhealthy," Telegraph wrote.

Cristiano Jumps Back into the Dating Pool?

Ever since his split with longtime girlfriend Irina Shayk in January, Ronaldo's name has been attached with several women - TV presenter Vanessa Huppenkothen and sports journalist Lucia Villalon. However, both have denied dating Ronaldo.

"I really don't have anything to say, I don't know anybody that they are relating me to and I continue with my life and with my job," Huppenkothen said in an episode of "La Jugada," Latin Times quoted.

Villalon, meanwhile, describes her relationship with Ronaldo as "purely professional," a separate report from Mirror Online wrote. Dating allegations about Villalon and the FIFA Ballon d'Or winner started when she tweeted a photo of them together in the awards ceremony.

Shayk, on the other hand, has revealed what she looks for in a man -- statements which could be a swipe at her former flame Ronaldo.

"My ideal man is faithful, honest and a gentleman who knows how to treat women," Shayk said, as quoted by Daily Mail. "I thought I had once found the ideal man but it didn't turn out that way. I think a woman feels ugly when she's got the wrong man at her side. I've felt ugly and insecure."
