The Sacramento Kings acquired former No.2 pick Derrick Williams in a trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves, but the Kings are not done tweaking their roster.

ESPN reported that the Kings are still actively looking for trades that could improve their current roster, making any player except DeMarcus Cousins and Williams available.

According to reports, Marcus Thornton, who is set to receive $8 million this season and $8.5 million next year, will likely be dealt by the Kings before the trade deadline.

Yahoo Sports reported that the Kings view Thornton as one of their most attractive trade assets and they are planning to trade the shooting guard for a small forward.

"The Kings are actively searching for a small forward, sources said. They would love to trade guard Marcus Thornton and his contract," Yahoo Sports reported.

One of the possible trade scenarios the Kings are looking at is trading Thornton to the Detroit Pistons for Kyle Singler, but the Kings could also be forced to take the contract of either Charlie Villanueva or Jonas Jerebko to convince the Pistons.

Aside from Thornton, Jimmer Fredette could also be dealt by the Kings to a team that is looking for offensive help and it will be easy for them to trade the third-year guard, who is in the final year of his contract that pays him $2.57 million this season.

The acquisition of Williams also made Patrick Patterson an expendable asset and the Kings could send the 24-year-old power forward to a team that needs frontcourt help.

Kings general manager Pete D'Alessandro also confirmed to HoopsWorld on Tuesday that he is searching for ways to improve the Kings, saying that they will remain aggressive to show the fans that they are committed to winning.

"I think we always have to be aggressive, I really believe that," D'Alessandro said. "We can never be satisfied. There are really are only two or three teams in this league that can feel satisfied, and really only one team that should be satisfied. So in terms of aggressiveness, we in particular always need to be aggressive because we have a lot of work to do here. Our fans deserve for us to be aggressive."
