Vanessa Huppenkothen breaks her silence on her alleged romantic involvement with football star Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Mexican TV presenter talked about the rumored romance between her and Ronaldo on Sunday night's broadcast of sports show "La Jugada" or "The Play," Latin Times reported. In the TV program, Huppenkothen was teased by her co-hosts Javier Alarcón and Marisol González. The 29-year-old beauty, however, denied dating the Real Madrid striker.

"I really don't have anything to say, I don't know anybody that they are relating me to and I continue with my life and with my job," Huppenkothen stated in a "shaky voice" while appearing to be nervous as she looks around, Latin Times noted.

Prior to the Televisa Deportes reporter, Ronaldo was also linked to sports journalist Lucia Villalon. The 26-year-old, however, shut down rumors and stated that she and Ronaldo's relationship is "purely professional," Mirror Online wrote. Dating allegations about Villalon and the FIFA Ballon d'Or winner started when she tweeted a photo of them together in the awards ceremony.

"I get on well with him, just like I get on well with all the people I've worked with," Villalon stated at a Formula 1 press launch, as quoted by Mirror Online. "I admire him massively as a footballer and as a person he's completely normal. My relationship with him has been purely professional. The reason I haven't spoken before was so as not to fuel a rumor that was totally senseless."

It was in January when Ronaldo announced that he and longtime girlfriend, model Irina Shayk, have parted ways. He said, "After dating for five years, my relationship with Irina Shayk has come to an end. We believed it would be best for both of us to take this step now. I wish Irina the greatest happiness," Daily Mail reported.

The news outlet noted that the reason for the split may have been caused by a heated argument between Shayk and Ronaldo's mother.

In a recent interview with Spanish magazine Hola, the Russian model talked about what she looks for in a man, statements which could have been directed at her former flame Ronaldo.

"My ideal man is faithful, honest and a gentleman who knows how to treat women," Shayk said, as quoted by a separate report from Daily Mail. "I don't believe in men who make us feel unhappy, because they're boys not men. I thought I had once found the ideal man but it didn't turn out that way."

"I think a woman feels ugly when she's got the wrong man at her side. I've felt ugly and insecure," she added.
