Now that a full-on war was waged between Klaus and Marcel on "The Originals," the question remains of whether or not these two frenemies will ever regain the admiration they used to share with each other.

In the upcoming episode, entitled "Reigning Pain in New Orleans," Klaus and Marcel share some tender moments, with Klaus opening up to his former sire about his past. However, both their battle and the war between the witches versus the vamps gets put on the backburner as the human faction decides to act against their supernatural friends.

In the meantime, Hayley continues to discover more information about her past and becomes territorial after she learns of plans to hurt the bayou-dwelling werewolf pack. As a result, she turns to Elijah and Rebekah for help.

A preview clip for the episode starts with Klaus giving a toast at the dinner table while Haley seems to be visibly irritated. Marcel seems to be happy since he yielded to Klaus' whim to take over New Orleans. During his speech, Klaus declares that the wolves have become a problem and he'd like to officially take them down, which is a plan werewolf Haley obviously does not approve, reports Cinema Blend.

Next, we get to see a couple of scenes featuring characters who are attempting to appeal to Klaus and his more human nature in spite of the fact that Klaus has proven time and time again that he lacks empathy for humans, werewolves, witches and vampires. He only cares about himself and his personal whims.

On a side note, the brewing relationship between Haley and Elijah is also teased in the preview.

"Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), deeply conflicted by recent events, is surprised when Klaus (Joseph Morgan) opens up to him about some of his past indiscretions. Cami (Leah Pipes) tries to make sense of cryptic messages she's come across and is disturbed when she gains some insight into Klaus' past. Meanwhile, in a surprising turn of events, the human faction takes matters into their own hands, resulting in a violent confrontation. Elsewhere, when Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) learns of a plan to harm the werewolves in the bayou, she turns to Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) for help. After heading to the bayou, they run into a werewolf named Eve (guest star Tasha Ames), who has information that leads them to a shocking discovery."

"The Originals" S1E9, "Reigning Pain in New Orleans," will air next Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET. on the CW.
