Mobile World Congress 2015: Top 5 Highlights of Barcelona Event; Samsung, HTC & More!

There were a lot of things that went on at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona - new phones, new tablets, and even a new virtual relaity headset that put gaming to a whole new level.

Of course, not everyone has the opportunity to go to Barcelona, so here are some of the highlights that you shouldn't miss out on as noted by CNET:

Samsung's Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge

Samsung threw off the curve with an amazing show at the beginning of the week with the unveiling of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. The latter sports a high-end, curved screen design. Also, Samsung made a counterpart for Apple Pay, which they called Samsung Pay. It makes mobile payment technology easier, and it can be used with a traditional card swipe reader.

HTC One M9

HTC's newest line of smartphones looks even better than the One M8. The new HTC One M9 has a lot of great upgrades that blows the previous model out of the water. It has a smooth design that Gizmag said is one of the most tasteful Android UIs.

Blackphone+

For every geek who wanted to be a secret spy agent, the new tablet Blackphone+ has great security that would put SHIELD to shame. The new Blackphone+ will have a secure OS, with a new processor and better screen. The Blackphone is specifically designed to protect metadata, and according to The Verge, provide encryption, to keep all your secrets safe.

Virtual Reality Headsets

The best way to enjoy gaming is to experience it via Virtual Reality, and there are plenty of companies who are already developing them, and they're only getting better. HTC's Vive VR headset, according to Fortune, has been getting great reviews, and it's not the only company that's releasing their version of the VR headset.

Huwawei Watch

While Apple is trying to make an Apple Watch, Huawei already has an amazing sapphire Android wear smartwatch that looks so good, you're going to want to buy it for yourself. It kind of looks expensive though, and the price has not been posted yet. The International Business Times reported that with its $1,000 price rumor, it will be the most expensive Android wear ever.

There are still a lot of devices that was unveiled at the MWC. For instance, SanDisk just released a 200-GB micro SD card, and Microsoft Lumia is also something that shouldn't be missed.
