Nokia Lumia 520 Black Friday Deal: 50 Percent Discount on Online Microsoft Store; Windows Phone 8 Price Cut on Amazon.com [Video]

In time for Black Friday, the Nokia Lumia 520 has received a price discount.

The Lumia 520, which has been named as the most-utilized Windows Phone smartphone worldwide, encountered a 50 percent discount on the online Microsoft Store. With the discount, the Lumia 520 is priced for $49, down from the original $99.

According to the online Microsoft Store, the Lumia 520 on sale is a no-contract model on behalf of mobile carrier AT&T.

Unfortunately, the Lumia 520 is currently sold out on the online Microsoft Store. Online shoppers could attempt to refresh the page in hopes the Microsoft Store restocks the devices during the shopping weekend.

The 50 percent discount, however, was not reciprocated on the official AT&T website as of Nov. 28 as the Lumia 520's price maintained at $99.99.

On Amazon.com, the Lumia 520 received a minor price reduction of $7, which equated to $92.99 with free shipping. Stock for the Lumia 520 was low on Amazon. According to Amazon, the Lumia 520 is the No. 1 no-contract cell phone in the "Cell Phones & Accessories" category on their website.

The Lumia 520's features a 4-inch screen display with 800x480 resolution and 223 pixels per inch. The rear-facing camera has 5 megapixels with 2,592x1,936 pixels while no secondary camera is present. The Lumia 520 has 8GB for internal storage with 512MB of RAM. In regards to wireless connectivity, the Lumia 520 can connect to the Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0. The Windows Phone 8 smartphone utilizes a 1,430mAh battery.

The Lumia 520 first made its debut at the 2013 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
