Not a lot of people have freaked out so much about a piece of accessory as when they saw Pharell's hat.

However, when Scott Cawthon, the creator of hit game "Five Nights at Freddy's" uploaded a photo of a hat in his website, people freaked out.

There's nothing to the hat, not really, except that, according to Kotaku, it's what Freddy the bear normally wears when he's not being a psycho killer.

Oh, and the possibility that "Five Nights at Freddy's 3" may be the last of the franchise. This rumor came to light when at the end of the game, a newspaper clipping can be seen, with a message from Cawthon himself, detailing its development.

However, Kotaku also noted that Cawthon usually teases fans by uploading photos on his site, and there are a lot of hidden details that you can find if you tinker on the images, or if you look into the codes. However, the hat is just a hat, and as far as teasers go, this could well mean goodbye.

Also, as Gamezebo pointed out, Scott usually teases for sequels in his images. The hat, however, was just the same old hat that the flesh-eating animatronic bear usually wears, and there really is nothing hidden beneath it.

Finally, it also seems that the endings (there's more than one) for FNAF carried some sort of finality, at the same time, the hints of the door being unlocked can be noted as a segue to another game in the series.

Fans already put their two cents on the possibility of an ending. A Reddit user said, "I'm personally glad the series has ended. Everybody agrees that Scott has outdone himself with the third game a deserves a long break. I'd rather there not to be a fourth instalment in the series, it'd be overworking the idea."

Other fans took their goodbyes to Twitter as they bade the psychopathic bear goodbye.

One fan tweeted, "I guess the series might be... over? It's been a great ride! but hey, there may be a five nights at Bonnie's!"

Another said, "All I have to say is either way..whether it continues or not, its been one heck of a ride. Thank you so much Scott Cawthon for all of it."

Hat or no hat, do you really think that Cawthon is leaving behind "Five Nights at Freddies," and will we be able to sleep soundly at night, with the Animatronic animals are gone for good? Or will they return to give us more nightmares?
