Apple Insider has reported that a makeshift expansion has started construction last week for Apple Inc's (NASDAQ:AAPL) event on March 9, as the company's kick-off for its 2015 products campaign. The purpose of the building is yet unknown, but workers have already erected barriers and had the area covered in white cloth, appearing as though the company is customizing an existing building especially for their launching event.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has sent out media invitations for the March 9 event in what the company dubbed as "Spring Forward" which also references to Saturday being the time when clocks move forward in the US Daylight Saving Time, making it a not-so-subtle hint that the headlining event is the official launch of the Apple Watch.

However, despite the excitement on its release, it does not make people forget that the iPad is not doing as well as it could in terms of sales.

There is also news of a possibly larger iPad, which, as rumors stated, will be called the iPad Pro or iPad Plus, that will be released in the second quarter as a means for Apple to compete in the tablet market, however there are also rumors that to get a much-needed advantage, the new iPad may be released by March, as Apple has previously launched their iPads in the same month.

Streetwise noted that IHS analyst Rhoda Alexander said that Apple is testing panels for a larger version of their tablet, but this does not automatically mean that a larger version will be released commercially.

What else can be expected from Apple's first launch party of the year? Here are some, as noted by Redmond Pie:

1) iOS update - while iOS 8.2 and 8.3 are still at its beta stages, it's the iOS 8.2 that is focused on as it has already reached its final beta. The significance of the app? It's reported to be companion to the Apple Watch and is expected to be launched along in the March 9 event.

2) OS X update - though glimpses of the OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 were already seen, the main update that has everyone excited is the Photos app, which could use the Yerba Buena gathering as a platform for its release. There will also be an enhanced emoji support, making the upgrade quite noteworthy.

3) 12-inch MacBook Air - the thinner MacBook has been rumored to be released for awhile, but with seemingly plausible leaks, the notebook may just be launched alongside the Apple Watch, although it should not outshine the headliner.

Is there anything else you'd like to see during Apple Inc's (NASDAQ:AAPL) Spring Forward event?
