"Suicide Squad" Director David Ayer just keeps on looping the movie's fans with teasers, including Jared Leto's new look for the movie.
Dan of Geek reported that Leto's hair was "cut down at the bottom." It started when Ayer posted a tweet saying, "something will happen. Tomorrow." The first photo he posted was a picture of a guy or a woman with long hair near the scissors. However, this is a clear giveaway. It was Leto.
The photo was captioned, "Should we? #SuicideSquad."
The following day, it was confirmed that Leto had cut off his hair. Ayer posted another photo of Leo in black and white with the new hairdo which he described as "majestic."
After this, Leto posted on his Instagram account saying, "I miss my beard already."
Leto somehow has an iconic hair. His laid-back ombre look has been the envy of most Hollywood celebrities, according to Hollywood Life. He used to have this dark, highlighted "perfect waves." But, this has not been his updo when he started. He has transitioned from "buns, braids, [and] ponytails" over the years.
Jared Leto will play as the Joker in the upcoming film. To join him are Margot Robbie, to play Harley Quinn; Will Smith as Deadshot; Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg; Viola Davis as Amanda Waller; Jai Courtney as Boomerang; Cara Delevigne as Enchantress; Jay Hernandez; and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. However, Eisenberg's role is not fixed yet, according to IMDB.
"Suicide Squad" is out of the norm super team, mostly made of villains. Amanda Waller, the head of a secret government agency will use these imprisoned supervillains to "execute dangerous black ops in exchange for clemency," IMDB added.
According to Screenrant, this could be an outstanding DC movie. One of the main reasons this could be a success is David Ayer. With "Training Day," "Street Kings" and "Harsh Times" on his resume, fans are really expecting a high-quality thriller movie.
For those who are thinking that Marvel movies have a touchy story theme, this DC film will be the entire opposite as it is expected to feature raw characters of mixed personalities.
Additionally, it is very rare to have a film feature antagonists as protagonists. With these characters, fans are not sure who will be loyal and who will eventually backstab. The main challenge is: How will this team survive without killing each other?
Director David Ayer summed up the film calling it the "Dirty Dozen with Supervillains."
"Suicide Squad" is set to hit the theaters on Aug. 5, 2016.
