If you've seen the latest screens from "Metal Gear", you'd wonder why the mother base is pink. If you're not fan of the color, it's okay, it's part of the new feature from the game, and one that Hideo Kojima has been teasing to fans.
Kojima apparently took to Twitter to tease the new feature that is included in the gameplay customization, telling fans, "Painted my Mother Base pink." Of course, that's his prerogative altogether. More screens from the game can be found on Kojima's Twitter account.
"Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain," which will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC, is confirmed to launch sometime this year, although the exact date, according to Gaming Bolt, is yet to be announced.
Konami, however, has published a 48-hour countdown timer, according to Gamespot, which could mean that Kojima is ready to make a big announcement about the game. However, there is no indication on clear detail as what this could be, although the best bet so far is that it can be the announcement of the exact game release date. The timer is set to end on March 4 at 6 AM Pacific Time.
Other theories about the possible countdown tease include new gameplay footage, but then again, there have been plenty of trailers and demos, as noted by Game Rant. Not that the fans would complain, as the website said, even a 10-minute trailer for "Metal Gear" will barely scratch the surface of the game.
For now, there is not much that we don't already know about "Metal Gear" although Konami confirmed at The Game Awards in December that Metal Gear online will be included in "The Phantom Pain" and it will not cost extra.
As Movie Pilot also added, "Metal Gear Solid 5" is filled with new content, as fans have seen the Big Boss do more things than ever, including hiring people to learn new languages, ride his own Gear, use the armored box, and even wash blood from his clothes, which is really cool.
Kojima explained all these updates in February, saying that "MGSV is an open-world 'free-infiltration' game, as opposed to a linear game. This doesn't just mean that the maps are big; infiltration routs, approach to intel gathering, time of day, equipment, means of transport - these are all up to the player. We have to ensure there is freedom that is not only logical but allows for spontaneity."
