For a while Dragon Quest fans have lost hope that "Heroes" will eventually reach the western part of the globe. But with its recent release in Japan comes good news - IGN confirmed that "Dragon Quest Heroes" is on its way to Europe and the United States!

Yes, it is really happening.

Play Station announced on its official blogsite that the very popular game will be released in America later this year. Exclusively for PlayStation 4, the well-loved game is going to be available on both boxed physical release, as well as via digital download through the PlayStation Store. Its release will be the mark of the series being seen for the first time on a full scale action-RPG.

The arrival of the game in the western part of the globe is a happy deal for fans, however, there is no news yet on whether or not PlayStation's limited "Dragon Quest" console will ever get halfway around the world.

IGN noted that PlayStation sometimes makes themed consoles. For awhile, it boasted of a "Frozen"-themed one, as well as special editions for "The Last of Us" and "Destiny" - but all of which were limited in Japan. "Dragon Quest" will be released complete with decals and a Metal Slime USB Cover, and it would be neat to have them on American soil.

In "Dragon Quest Heroes," the players will "rise up against insurmountable odds, challenging swarms of enemies and conquering gigantic monsters in an exhilarating action game," as described by the PlayStation website.

The game is developed by Omega Force, (which also made "Dynasty Warriors" and plenty other popular action games) in collaboration with game creator Yuji Horii and composer Koichi Sugiyama, who have been working hand-in-hand in the development since the beginning of the series. Finally, the genius behind the monsters is world-renowned artist Akira Toriyama, who personally designed them. The graphics together with Sony PlayStation 4 technology, boasts of beautiful game view served up in High Definition.

Eurogamer noted the importance of the game's release, saying that Square Enix failed to localize "Dragon Quest" games since the ninth installment, and "Heroes" will be the first on a PlayStation console since 2006, when the company released "Dragon Quest 8" on PS2.

The PlayStation blog site has promised to unveil more details about the arrival of "Dragon Quest Heroes" to the west to make sure to visit the site regularly in the next few weeks and months to stay updated.

Check out the gameplay below, how excited are you that "Dragon Quest Heroes" is arriving in the US soon?
