The 20th season of "Dancing With the Stars" will soon premiere and the names of the new batch of celebrities who will be vying for the mirror ball trophy have been unveiled on "Good Morning America" on Tuesday.
Listed below are the musicians, actors, and athletes who will all compete for the title, as reported by ET Online.
1. Singer Patti LaBelle and Artem Chigvintsev
2. Singer and heartthrob Riker Lynch (second cousin to Derek and Julianne Hough) and Allison Holker
3. Carl's Jr. model Charlotte McKinney and Keo Motsepe
4. LMFAO's Redfoo and Emma Slater
5. "The Hunger Games" actress Willow Shields and Mark Ballas
6. NFL free agent Michael Sam and Peta Murgatroyd
7. Rumer Willis (daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore) and Val Chmerkovskiy
8. Combat veteran Noah Galloway and Sharna Burgess
9. "Three's Company" actress Suzanne Somers and Tony Dovolani
10. "Shark Tank" star Robert Herjavec and Kym Johnson
Aside from the stars listed above, "DWTS" veteran Derek Hough is also set to return to the show with Olympic gold medalist Nastia Liukin. According to ET Online, the partners will travel back and forth to Los Angeles for the competition. The two have current commitments in New York City, it added.
Meanwhile, Ballas, who has been participating in the show for 16 seasons, was asked by Fox News Latino about how he trains celebrities who don't have enough dancing experience. Ballas said, "I'm [a] very patient person. I'm a very fair person, I feel like, you know, it's all about communication too," he told the news outlet.
"I really like to keep an open line of communication. If they're happy with something, not happy with something, comfortable, not comfortable. And when you work as a team, you do far better than kind of just going in and calling the shots," he added.
Ballas also talked about his best friend Hough's unexpected return to the show.
"I knew, I already knew," he said good-naturedly, as quoted by Fox News Latino. "I mean, Derek's my best friend, my brother if you will. Grew up together, we lived together since we were 9 years old, so I was the first to know. So when they ('GMA') were like 'I wonder who the sixth pro is gonna be?' I was like 'hee-hee-hee!'"
Ballas, however, didn't know that his friend will be partnered with Olympian Liukin. He previously tried to recruit the gymnast in the past, the news outlet reported.
The 20th season of "Dancing With the Stars" premieres Monday, March 16, on ABC, ET Online noted. Season 19 winner Alfonso Ribeiro also revealed the new, gold mirror ball trophy during the cast announcement on "GMA."
