It's eleven episodes in the fifth season of "The Walking Dead", and it seems that Aaron just saved everyone in Rick's group, as The Hollywood Gossip noted. After he gave them applesauce (which was not poisonous) and access to actual existing cars, and proved there really seemed to be a safe community in Arlington, has he finally earned his keep and has proven that he can really be trusted?
More details will be unearthed for the twelfth episode, however, the synopsis marked that "molding into a new lifestyle proves difficult for the group," and for good reason.
The Christian Times recapped on the moments when Rick and the gang got screwed over in "safe places", like Woodbury and The Governor, especially highlighting their arrival at the Terminus, where they were welcomed by cannibals. That being said, Rick is right for not trusting Aaron at face value.
However, being a good leader means that he had to at least let the group vote on it, which they did, and which is how they ended up right outside Alexandria after they saved Aaron's lover, Eric. What sets Alexandria apart from other safe places is the sound of children playing, and it sounds like life is just... better in there.
Of course, comic book fans are already aware that Alexandria is relatively safe, and from there, the group will be meeting a lot of people as they join the community. However, with their arrival in Alexandria comes the demise of a member of the group, and that just won't fare them any better.
Here are a few things that we already know about Alexandria, as noted by the International Business Times:
1) The safe haven is only a year old, but it's properly developed with the help of the community. It was named after a man called Alexander Davidson, who was the founder of the safe haven. He became drunk with power that got him banned from the community by his friend, Douglas Monroe, who lied to the inhabitants by saying that he killed Davidson.
2) Morgan is supposed to be back with Rick and the gang before they enter the gates of the haven, however, the altered storyline may put that off for awhile, but for the most part, Morgan's fans can rejoice because it seems that he will be back for season 5.
3) Negan, who is the leader of a group of survivors called The Saviors, will also be introduced once the group settles in Alexandria, and let's just say that it's better for Glenn to keep an eye open at all times.
For now, let's be glad that at least, for another episode, the group will be safe.
