For several times, LG has proven its ability to make records in history. The last of these notable accomplishments lies in the existence of the LG G Flex 2, unveiled in January's Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
As followers would know, the device is the first Android Lollipop smartphone that has packed Qualcomm's 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor. If this sounds too technical, just remember that it's also capable of "self-healing."
Prospects initially thought that the LG G4, the rumored successor to the LG G3, would make an appearance in the last CES. When LG introduced the Flex 2, speculations moved the new flagship to a possible launch in the Mobile World Congress, happening on Mar. 2 - 5 in Barcelona, Spain.
But then again, there had been talks which claimed that the LG G4 still won't arrive in the event in Spain. According to Trusted Reviews, insiders told the Korea Times, "LG Electronics decided not to release the G4 at the Mobile World Congress exhibition in Barcelona in March."
That said, the device may not launch with the likewise-rumored Samsung Galaxy S6, HTC One M9 and Sony Xperia Z4. These handsets have all been purported to appear at the MWC, though the latter is now pegged to get another launch date. It could also be Sony's last smartphone.
We're still looking forward to the LG G4's official specs, but to curate the latest surfacing information, it's been said that the handset arrives with a dual camera set-up.
As Design & Trend put it, a new report from Korea has revealed that the LG G4 features the particular set-up, reminiscent of HTC's One M8 (2014). The source is convinced that the company would invest good effort in improving the flagship's camera, considering the success of G3's.
For those who may not know, the LG G3 packed a 13 MP main camera, supporting a resolution of 4160 x 3120 pixels. Some of its features include phase detection / laser autofocus, optical image stabilization, dual-LED (dual tone) flash, geo-tagging, face detection, HDR and simultaneous video and image recording.
Citing "a few leaked details," Know Your Mobile wrote that the LG G4's camera is set at 16 MP, capturing with a maximum resolution of 5312 x 2988 pixels.
The outlet said LG could repeat the G3's May launch for its successor, so we'll definitely be on the lookout.
As part of GSMArena's preliminary specs, the LG G4 could have a 5.3-inch screen, 1440 x 2560 resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810, 4 GB of RAM, Android 5.0 Lollipop support and a 5 MP front camera.
