A woman was reportedly arrested for masturbating in the theater while watching the BDSM-themed romantic drama film, "Fifty Shades of Grey."

According to the Inquisitr, after the woman was caught pleasuring herself, she was immediately handcuffed by authorities.

The woman was caught in Sinalao, Mexico, as reported by Movie Pilot. The 33-year-old woman was reportedly sitting at the 12th row of the theater when a couple of "patrons sensed something fishy was going on." After being caught, she was immediately sent out of the cinema and charged with public indecency.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time someone made a scene while watching the show. In Glasgow, three women broke a fight with a man after he asked them to stop talking during the showing of the movie. The three women were soon arrested for assaulting the man, according to The Lad Bible.

It has also been reported that the film might have excited the moviegoers as items such as masks, sex toys and even condoms were found on the floor.

On the other hand, despite all the drama with the fans, "Fifty Shades of Grey" is doing extremely well in the box office. The Inquisitr reported that over the weekend, the movie has already scored $248.7 million, which is more than the record of James Cameron's "Avatar" which totaled $241.6 million in 2009. "Avatar" went on to become the highest-grossing film of all time, according to Box Office Mojo.

However, even though it has soared in the box office, the movie critics were not that impressed with it.

According to Forbes, the film has disguised abusive gender roles and mistranslated it to "faux-feminisim."

As Dakota Johnson, who plays Anastasia, is placed with high praises, her leading man Jamie Dornan, Mr. Grey, "has even less to work with in terms of character and cringe-worthy dialogue," resulting to his performance to be called just "decent."

New York Times also called out Dornan to be unfitting to this character. They noted that his job was to inspire "lust and fascination and also maybe a tiny, thrilling frisson of fear." However, he was just "blur and a blank."

They added that Dornan played the role "without mischief or mystery." They even suggested better actors who could suit the role like Cary Grant, William Powell, Paul Newman and Sean Connery.

"Fifty Shades of Grey" is a film adaptation from E.L James' novel of the same title.
