The anticipation for Konami's "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" grows stronger as bits of juicy information hit the Internet. For one, Hideo Kojima has been tweeting a slew of "MGS"-related stuff, International Business Times said. Apparently, his recent photos might just give a hint of what fans can expect from the upcoming game.

According to the outlet, Kojima has posted a photo of Snake with a bandaged head. It looks like he's recovering from a wound, of course, but the image's caption seemed to imply something else.

Kojima wrote, "What? Unexpectedly Snake got bandage on when back in to chopper! Why?! Wasn't plan this way." This sounds related to the storyline, but we can only speculate for now.

In another tweet comes a photo of D.D., the Diamond Dog group's mascot, which Kojima referred to be "shocked to see Snake with bandages."

Reading between the lines may not be a very easy task, specially when all one can think of is "The Phantom Pain." For quite some time, fans had been haggling Konami about the title's release date, but the most concrete detail to surface at present is "only a little longer."

Nevertheless, the industry continues to gather clues and hints from all sides. As we have previously reported, details about the possibility of a Q3 2015 release have been out, while some have looked into a November launch. Konami exec Tora Shiro has admitted, reportedly, that the final say belongs to Konami Japan.

Yet the Christian Post cited another Konami financial document, which suggested the title's release "between April and June of 2015." Certainly, this is more preferable over a late-year launch. But with due respect to technicalities, only Konami can confirm the game's arrival in its best possible state.

Design & Trend mentioned a retail employee who claimed, back in December, that the game lands on Feb. 24. That's supposedly next week, although this information is only best taken with a pinch of salt.

Rumors also have it that TPP will be larger than "Grand Theft Auto 5" in terms of map scale, the Christian Post said. The source also mentioned an analysis from NeoGaf forum user Love Deterrence, which revealed that the game's map could be twice as large as that of "Ground Zeroes" -- now that's exciting.

"Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" is set to arrive for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, IGN wrote.

In the meantime, while we sit and wait for Konami's word, check out some gameplay clips here, here and here.
