The latest clues aimed at the Samsung Galaxy S6 suggest the device's depth, which turns out to be just a little thicker than Apple's iPad Air 2.

Apparently, case maker OBLIQ has sent GSMArena its latest Slim Meta case designs, confirming that the Galaxy S6 will have a thickness of 6.9 mm. The iPad Air 2, as you would know, came with 6.1 mm.

But the design doesn't come with a single hint of information. It also featured cutouts for antennas, camera, LED flash and heart rate monitor, GSMArena said.

In a recent article, The Verge took note of Samsung's strategic approach leading to Mar. 1's "Unpacked" event at the Mobile World Congress.

Naturally, everyone has their eyes on the Galaxy S6 -- including all its alleged variants.

The Verge saw Samsung's teasers as "subtle, enigmatic, and really tasteful." To the outlet, the Korean tech giant has now conjured an element of mystery in its promotions, contrary to its previous takes that pretty much targeted Apple.

But then again, it's ironic to think that the rivaling companies are rumored to team up for the A9 chip, set to power the iPhone 7.

As told by the PCAdvisor, the Galaxy S6 might be a super-slim handset that's "significantly faster" than its predecessors.

The source went on to list some of the device's purported specs, which include a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display, QHD (1440 x 2560) resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 4, 2600mAh battery, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 / Exynos 7420 processor, 3 GB of RAM, microSD support, 20 MP main camera, 5 MP front snapper and 32 / 64 /128 GB storage options. It will most likely ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The Galaxy S6 is believed to be Samsung's first all-metal flagship, Digital Trends said. Citing a report from Bloomberg, the outlet mentioned two Galaxy S6 models aimed to feature fully-metal furnishes.

The PCAdvisor also cited a certain leak, which appeared to establish similarities between the Samsung flagship and the iPhone 6. These include rounded edges, drilled speaker holes, a central microUSB port and headphone jack.

Aside from the standard Galaxy S6, the industry also speculates on the Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Mini and Galaxy S6 Active.

Samsung's event will be livestreamed at its official global blog and YouTube channel. The presentation kicks off Mar. 1 at 6:30 p.m. CET (12:30 p.m. EST).
