When Taylor Kinney decided to pop the question to Lady Gaga last Velentine's Day, it was not much of a surprise for either party - Mother Monster have been dating the actor for over four years now, and he knew she'll say yes, she's been vocal about it since December.

The singer was seen showing off her engagement ring on Valentine's Day, at her father's restaurant at the Upper West Side in Manhattan. According to the New York Daily News, the Times Herald-Record Executive Editor Barry Lewis was also there witnessing the engagement, albeit by accident, as he was dining at the same restaurant.

He did share what he saw went down though, and he said, that he heard the singer say that "it was time." He also added, Gaga and Kinney were accompanied by two massive bodyguards, one located by Gaga, the other near the entrance to the main dining room. "Her father, Joe Germanotta, who owns the restaurant with chef and author Art Smith, popped open a bottle of champagne to toast the couple and welcome Kinney into the family, " said Lewis.

Gaga confirmed the news later when she posted a photo of her massive heart-shaped diamond engagement ring on Instagram with the caption, "He gave me his heart on Valentine's Day, and I said YES!"

According to The Hollywood Life, the singer and the actor first met in 2011, on the set of her "You & I" music video, shot in Nebraska, and which also stars the "Chicago Fire" actor as her lover. They started dating a few months after but split up in May 2012. They got back together a month later and were said to be more in love with each other than ever.

In December, she admitted to Howard Stern that she'd say yes if ever he would propose. She gushed, "He is the right guy...How do we know? It's this feeling..."

Kinney is equally inspired by her, telling Us Weekly in April that she is someone who pushes him to be a better person. He said, "[She] is someone who's always in your corner, that believes in you and your work, and vice versa. You know, I love what she does and her work and music and charity. She inspires so many people including myself."

Gaga is known to always make a statement, so what will the wedding be like? She teased on the same interview with Howard Stern, "If I get married, I'll be hanging out in a pickup truck at a David's Bridal while my stylist is screaming at me."

That would be quite a wedding to watch, but let's hope she's joking.
